The Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture & Agrotourism (MAHA) show themed “Agrotechnology – Catalyst For Transformation”, will showcase the success of agriculture, agro-based industry and livestock from the perspective of the cutting edge technology and innovation.
During this ten day international event, I will give a lecture on urban agriculture on Monday November 24th. Showing a great variety of European examples, we will learn more about the motives, the potential and the benefits of urban agriculture. We will also examine the relations between rural agriculture and urban agriculture. To what extend could regional, circular economy based food chains be an alternative for global production?
